Half the Week Over Already!

Hi Everyone!
Hope your week is going well, here it is Wednesday already (ok, just by 37 minutes but still!!) My week has been a productive one so far, how about yours??

Some Happy News!!

Giveaways!!  Woohoo, everyone loves a giveaway!! I'm going to make it super simple to win, too. Just leave a comment here OR on my Facebook group page "The Fancy Stamper." Easy to find on Facebook.

What are you hoping to win?? Check it out!

Here is just one of the prizes you could win, the Jars of Love bundle. Brand new, never been used, the whole bundle...WOW! This is a stamp set that is carrying over to the next catalog and is not being retired so that is awesome, too!! There are a couple of cards that were made using the bundle, one was made by me and one I received in a swap I participated in. Just a sample of what YOU could create if you win this.

There are a couple of smaller prizes as well, they consist of what I like to call "grab bags" and may have any number of interesting and super cute items in them. From hand made card sets (with envelopes) to embellishments, mini paper shares, designer series paper, stamp sets, adhesives. You just never know. When I organize my craft room you never know what I find and that is what goes into the grab bags. Some items may be recently retired and some aren't...again, it is a mystery!! I will announce the winner by Friday afternoon at the latest so get busy and comment either here or on the Facebook group page.

Ok, I need to get some rest so I'm going to stop for now but take care and good luck in the giveaway!!

Sunday is Here!!

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

I hope your weekend has been as fantastic as mine has. Yesterday was such a blast, I've almost forgotten how much fun it is to stamp and create with REAL people. In person. Not online.

Not that I'm complaining (much) lol about online. Online is wonderful and I have grown to love it. But there is nothing like the feeling of camaraderie when you spend HOURS creating with other craft-loving women.

My co-worker was gracious enough to invite me to join her well-established scrapping group (these ladies had known each other for YEARS!) and I gladly accepted the invitation. The day was a total unknown to me, having never met any of these women (except for my co-worker) and also, I had no idea of their time line as my friend we a bit vague about it. All she would say is, "my niece is coming around 9 am because she likes to start early. Come whenever you want." Also, I knew she was making these delicious lemon croissant things that she had recently posted on Facebook. Little did I know the amount of prep work and absolute hospitality that oozed from every corner of this place when I arrived.

It turned out that these ladies are marathon scrappers. Not only did my buddy have the afore-mentioned lemon-delicious-croissant things ready and waiting, she had prepared a delicious home-made lunch for us as well. After lunch there was dessert (later in the afternoon) with coffee. When I say 'dessert' I mean CHEESECAKE. At the time of the dessert break there was talk of ordering dinner in or just having leftovers from lunch (which would have been fantastic!!)

During the day I got to know these ladies, they were wonderful about accepting me and opening up their personal lives to me in a sense. They were all sweet yet so different from each other. All avid crafters, there was even a past Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the group!! She had not worked with Stampin' Up! as a demo in about 12 years but she remembered everything about it and even had a box of retired stamps that she had just given my co-worker. So cool to see those old stamps!

The day was quite a treat for me and a memory I will cherish for a long time to come. I am not sure how often they get together but I really hope they invite me again next time. Even without all the fantastic food and perks the companionship alone was well worth the time. That is something no one can put a price tag on and it was amazing!!

Here are some cards I created when I was with these awesome generous ladies:

This is from the Eastern Romance suite. I had a few more color combinations that I thought looked pretty together with the Wood Textures paper.

From the same suite, my attempt at trying out watermarks. What do you think? Too bold, right?
My co-worker LOVED the "Hey, Chick" stamp set so much after seeing my photos and also many photos on Pinterest that I gifted her this (now retired) stamp set so she can create chicken cards to her heart's content. I also gave her one of our embossing folders (also retired) to re-create the look of the chicken wire. She loved it and had a blast making this card right then and there!! I told you these ladies were special!

I ended up finally leaving a little after 7 pm (yes, I know!) and the other five ladies were still hard at work. They kind of looked at me when I packed up and my friend said, "Are you leaving already?" I sort of thought she was joking but she wasn't!! Next time I will be prepared. I made a lame excuse about my husband being off work at 7 and I needed to get dinner for him but I was floored. They really would have been okay with me staying and continuing to stamp until....when?? 10 pm? Don't know but either way it doesn't matter. They did a great job of making me feel very welcome, took me into their group with open arms, and quite literally did it with grace, loving kindness, and camaraderie.

I couldn't ask for anything more.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Fantastic Friday!

I have sort of caught up on my stuff so that blogging is no longer viewed as a "luxury" and once more I can add it to my roster of things to do. Relatively successful trip to the post office. Finally got the last round of giveaway items mailed off along with two more catalogs and some "thinking of you" cards. The catalog thing can be a bit challenging especially when going out to new people. I had another occurrence of someone accidentally giving me the wrong address for their catalog request and the post office checks everything before you send it when you ask for a tracking number. Thank goodness because the USPS guy told me on one of my catalog send outs that there "was no such address." Luckily, I was able to message the person who requested and got another address from her but not before I was already back home from the Post Office. Will re-send on Monday.

I used to only send things Priority Mail but when I send things in California I can still get a tracking number and for about half the fee use first class postage and they get it in the same amount of time. I love that, great service while saving money...who wouldn't love it?

What's new in your world? Are you working this weekend or settling down to relax? Or going somewhere?? That would be exciting!

For me, my husband is working all weekend so I will be keeping the "home fires" burning. I have a scrapping date tomorrow with a work mate at her house so that will be a blast for me. Believe it or now, I don't have ANY crafting friends who live near me. The closest I have for crafters are my daughter and daughter in law, and they are only a little bit interested. For sure they never initiate getting together for crafting. They will begrudgingly come to a gathering but only if they have nothing better to do lol. Oh well, what can you do?

I was able to drop off the basket I made for the charity raffle when I went to Temecula to get my hair done. I put together a cute basket with a bunch of Stampin' Up! stuff inside. I had a set of six hand made cards and envelopes, a brand new stamp set (Carousel Birthday), a pack of DSP (Cupcakes & Carousels), Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Various colors of card stock (enough for 20 cards) and envelopes to match. I also included two catalogs, Archival Basic Black ink, an acrylic block, Very Vanilla and Whisper White card stock, a spool of ribbon, and a package of Basic Rhinestones. Hopefully someone will be very excited to get all that. Because the person getting it might be a brand new paper crafter, I let them know in a hand made card that they should come to my YouTube site to see the beginner video I made for them. It helps them understand how to cut the card stock to fit the A-2 sized envelopes and some basic card making skills. I am very hopeful that it will light a spark of interest in some new crafter out there!

Messing around with one of the new suites coming up for the June 1 catalog and came up with this pretty card:
The new card stock in Fresh Fig is so pretty and pairs well with the Dapper Denim and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I used three of the framelits from the Eastern Palace suite to make the medallion cut out on the front of this pretty card. The sentiment is from Eastern Beauty. To decorate the envelope I just stamped one of the medallions from Eastern Beauty and colored it in with my watercolor pencils.

Here are the cards I made in my "beginner card demo" for the person who wins the basket in the charity raffle. Actually, this video could be useful to any person just starting out and even some who are already crafting. It is just a simple card but we all like to learn new tips and tricks, right?? Check it out on my YouTube site if you get a chance, and while you are there maybe you could "like" the video and "subscribe" to my channel. That is awesome! Thank you! <3

On that note I will get back to my productive Friday afternoon. I hope you are having a wonderful day and getting all that stuff done that you wanted to get done. Have a crazy-good weekend, everyone!

Love,
Deb

Thankful Thursday!

Hi Everyone....here it is Thursday already and my blogging has been at an all-time low this week.

I'm not sick, just incredibly busy. Every since OnStage I feel like I've been playing catch up with most everything, but not in a bad way.

The new stuff that Stampin' Up has let the demonstrators purchase early (yet another of the perks of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator) arrived and I've been busy as a bee making new projects and cards that I can share with you guys soon. I have been outlining new classes that will be coming up and designing cards, boxes, classes, you name it!  The new colors are beautiful, the new designer papers are awesome, and the new stamp sets and suites are remarkable. I wondered how they would make a new catalog that could compare with the old one but I must say that they hit it out of the proverbial ball park and this new catalog is WAY better than the old one.

I'm not just saying that. Wait till you see it ....it won't be long now!

If you decide to join my team you will have the opportunity to get your ENTIRE starter kit out of the new catalog!! While the new stuff won't be available till June 1, 2017, if you join my team you can get into it on May 2. Talk about AWESOME!!  For only $99 you will receive $125 worth of anything you want from the new catalog, your choice! That is a 25% discount for your starter kit. In addition to the supplies and products you choose yourself, Stampin' Up will give you $50 worth of free business supplies such as catalogs, order forms, folders, and assorted items you will need to run your new hobby business. You also get a FREE Paper Pumpkin kit (of Stampin' Up's choice) to get you familiar with Paper Pumpkin so you can tell your customers about it. In addition to all that stuff they send you they will also set you up with a DBWS (Demonstrator Business Web Site) which you get for the first three months FREE!! This allows you to accept VISA and MasterCard from your customers at no additional cost to you or any hassle on your end. It gives your customers a secure place to shop 24/7 and helps you stay in touch with your customers. It is also great because it comes with a blog (that you will customize) and you can further customize the whole website with photos, information, class schedules, whatever!

Please ask me if you have any lingering questions about becoming a member of my team. We are a small but mighty team but we are GROWING rapidly. I am here for my team members and you will NEVER be forced to sell product. Many people are comfortable being "hobby" demonstrators which basically means they want to become a demonstrator just to get the discount. Who can blame them?? 20% discount on all your paper crafting products forever...it cannot be beat. When you add to that the overall high quality of Stampin' Up products as well as the ability to match products....paper, ink, markers, envelopes, embellishments...all match with their custom colors! Until I started using their products exclusively I didn't believe they were superior to other products I would get at the big box craft stores. I was SO wrong. Now when I do a side by side comparison I am amazed I used those other products for so long.

Check out my web page and if you have any questions just ask me! If you are ready to join my team just click here and go to the tab at the top that says "Join The Fun!"  Now, I must get back to all that creating!!

Take care!

Running off to the Dentist...

Good Morning Everyone!!

Before I run off to the dentist I wanted to put a quick post up with the most recent cards I made. These are from the GORGEOUS new suite coming out in the June 1 catalog called, "Eastern Palace." The colors are rich, vibrant, and remind me of a beautiful peacock in all his glory.

Here are just five cards I made while I was messing around with my new bundle yesterday. Yes, they let demonstrators order this 2 months EARLY....yet another perk of joining my team!!!

Here they are:

There are five new "In Colors" coming out and they are showcased here in this suite. The Eastern Palace bundle also sports some gorgeous gold vinyl stickers, that is new for Stampin' Up and really pretty. The new colors are Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and something with PINK. I cannot remember for the life of me...lol.

Ok I just wanted to show you guys these cute cards and let you see what is coming up in the new catalog. I'll be doing a live demo later today after the dentist and that should be interesting to say the least.

See you then!

OnStage Was a Blast!!

Hey, Everyone!

I couldn't imagine an event being more fun that OnStage was, and this is coming from someone who has (in the past) competed in horse shows, cat shows, dog shows, gone to interesting trauma conventions, and all sorts of cool events.

This one topped them all.

Not only did we learn new techniques that we could use in our daily creative process (and teach to our students!) but we were given SO MANY gifts it was hard to believe!! Right when we arrived and checked in we received a gorgeous and huge tote bag with STUFF inside. Yes, good stuff! We had a full size planner (custom made by Stampin' Up!) and a brand new stamp set that went with the planner. We also got some other goodies in the tote including our name badge and a color badge for prize patrols!!  On our personalized name badges there were ribbons that came with it, each ribbon signified a milestone met or a promotion, I had FOUR ribbons!! And I've only been doing this for 6 months so it just proves that if you are interested enough, anything can happen. Even for a gimpy old lady like me! :)

After I put together my name tag and lanyard along with all the appropriate ribbons I headed over to find my team. The big team I belong to (where I originally signed up) is called the pink stampers and there are about 400 members. However, only about 17 were slated to be at this OnStage so the early birds were going to reserve some tables for us. I found them with their three dedicated tables and quickly introduced myself and settled in. At each of our table "place settings" various team members had put hand made gifts that they brought for us. I had been making a surprise too and I quickly followed suit and placed my gifts at each person's place. They were a HIT!!

The OnStage began with a quick prayer which was a nice touch and we were off learning stuff and finding out what was new and what we could expect for the day. The program after lunch included a couple of sessions for us to practice on the new stamp sets and we all saw that there was a good sized tote at the center of each table with supplies for the make and takes. We also knew that our new catalog would be passed out fairly soon.

They didn't make us wait too long for the catalog and we got it within the first hour of the meeting. Everyone was frantically paging through it to see which ones of their favorites had made the cut to the new catalog and which were gone. There were screams of delight and whimpers of sadness, but all in all we were all thrilled with the new stamp sets as well as the new color combinations.

Speaking of the new catalog....I cannot show it to you (yet) but I can show you some of the new stuff I ordered. Yes, as part of the perks of going to OnStage the demonstrators are allowed to place an order during OnStage for some new product. Not all of the products were offered but there was an abbreviated brochure they allowed us to choose from and YES I got a box full of stuff. Matter of fact it just got here today and WOW is all I can say.

As the day went on we had Prize Patrols and other giveaways and all in all I came home with four new stamp sets showcasing some of the new product from the new catalog. 3 new ink pads with new colors, new paper samples and new embellishment and ribbon samples. So much new stuff I couldn't believe it. More than paid for the price of admission AND they fed us lunch. Yes, it was a box lunch but I couldn't believe it was a free lunch to boot. Really nice of them.

As of Monday Stampin' Up has announced their retiring product list and they are encouraging us to share it with all our customers. They will not place anything on backorder and when it is gone it is gone for good. So I highly recommend that if you have any favorites that are retiring, you buy them while they are still available. Here is the link to my shopping page (CLICK HERE NOW) and the host code to use is 27P6KKTY. The link to the retiring list is here (CLICK HERE FOR RETIRING LIST) or just go to my shopping page and click on 'shop now' it will be on the very first page of that link.

Next post will have some great pictures but I just wanted to pop on for a minute before it got too late and let you all know about the retiring list before everything is sold out! If you have any questions please let me know...otherwise, happy shopping!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

After a nasty bout with a sort of awful head cold, I am on the mend and feeling more like myself than I have in about a week. This is good as today is the start of OnStage!!

What is OnStage you may ask?

It is the equivalent of the convention that Stampin' UP! has for its demonstrators every six months. The purpose is to spotlight new products, new techniques, networking among the demonstrators, and for the April OnStage: release of the NEW ANNUAL CATALOG.

This is BIG.

This catalog will not be available to our customers till June 1. It won't even be available to other demonstrators (in an online version) till later this week. But we are not to share with our customers no matter what.

What we can (and will) do is get READY. We have access to the newest and coolest products that are being revealed and we will be spending the time well by creating some super cute new hand made cards and other adorable and customizable goodies.  Besides all that, they really treat the demonstrators well at the OnStage by showering them with gifts (Prize Patrol!) and allowing for general swaps and even EARLY access to certain products that other demonstrators who do not attend OnStage cannot get.

So as I check in to my very first OnStage (in about 3 hours) I will be so excited to see what the day has in store for me. It is sure to be a super amazing time and in addition to that I will be meeting up with about 17 of the team I am part of: The Pink Stampers. Our manager (up line) has gifted us with these really cute burlap-type (but trimmed in black and with Pink Stampers in bright pink!) tote bags. I have heard that Stampin' UP will also be giving us all tote bags so that is exciting. For me, I put together some small, colorful (cosmetic bag sized) zippered bags for my teammates that have some candy inside (decorated with cute little Stampin' Up! hand made Easter labels) and each bag has a set of notecards that I made for them as well. I am excited to meet these ladies and look forward to giving out my gifts!!
The bag above is what I got for my teammates (and for my Up line Robyn!) and the little notecard is the prototype for the note cards I made for each bag. I made a set of four for each teammate with matching hand stamped envelopes. The notecards were each in shades of Peekaboo Peach, Blushing Bride, and Melon Mambo and had washi tape accents. I think they came out so cute! I packaged each set in a clear, sealing plastic envelope and included in the bigger bag a little custom Easter candy bag! I love these ladies and they have all uplifted me at some point in the last six months that I've known them.
This is the super cute tote bag that our up line manager Robyn gave us all. What a surprise, though she has proven herself time and time again to be so generous and is an excellent role model to those of us who are new to the stamping world. She has helped me model my attitude and ability to help motivate my own recruits to be the best demonstrators that they want to be. Generosity is contagious and I have also started (in my own, smaller way) to show that same generosity of spirit to my recruits in hopes that they will benefit from it the way I have benefitted from Robyn's generous spirit!
These are a few of the swaps I made for the general swaps at the OnStage. They are from the Pop of Paradise set and to be perfectly honest it was the VERY first time I broke open the set. I had the designer series paper pack, the stamp set, and I just sat down (very late) Thursday night and designed something that I felt I could make in time before we left the house on Friday. Silly me. Designing does take time and after I had what I thought would be a good design I was only awake enough to make this many. The majority of the cards were made early Friday morning before I packed.
This was my first design on Thursday but I quickly discovered that there was too much detail work involved for me to pump out 50 in a short time. I was working alone and had my daughter or daughter in law been available things would have been different. This is a super cute design (to me lol) showcasing the "You Are Sublime" set that I love so much. I used the watercolor pencils (my favorites) and some blender pen action as well as the Big Shot and Lots of Labels. The background was made with Playful Backgrounds photopolymer set, one of their stamps looked really cute here. After I made three of these cards I stopped...knowing that I'd never get 50 out in time. I brought these three anyway and will still give them away if asked during general swap.

There are different types of swaps, I guess. Being new to OnStage, I'm learning too. But "general swap" is for anyone and can be any type of card. Stampin' Up! also has a swap area and we are encouraged to give one of our swaps to their people for display...how nice of them!  Anyway the other types of swaps are arranged with individual groups before hand and may have a theme. There might be a "pop up card" swap where your card has to be a pop up card, or there may be a "Birthday Bash" swap where all the swaps must be birthday related. You get the idea. I did not participate in any of those and maybe I will during my next OnStage. This one is all about just getting the experience and getting my 'sea legs' so to speak. We shall see how ambitious I will be for the next OnStage in November.

Oh yes, I'm planning on it for sure and if I have anything to say about it I will be taking my down line with me!! I'd love to make a presence for our team there and in time would LOVE to have a whole section of Fancy Stampers.

Want to join my team?? There is still time, just go to my personal Stampin' Up! page and click on the link that says, "Join The Fun." For only $99 you can choose up to $125 worth of ANYTHING in the current Stampin' Up! catalog. You will also get an additional $50 in business supplies and free catalogs which is awesome. AND you will be gifted a Paper Pumpkin kit so you can try it out yourself. All that plus you will enjoy 20% off all future purchases as a demonstrator and NEVER have to be pressured to sell to anyone.

I know tons of demonstrators who have joined Stampin' Up! as "hobby demonstrators" which means they never sell to others and use their discount for themselves. Not to mention they still get all the perks of getting all the newest stuff from Stampin' Up early, free giveaways from ME, and free video tutorials of all my online classes. FREE. That is amazing, I think. So check it out or just ask me if you have any questions. You can text me if it is easier or email at thefancystamper@aol.com. Text is 951-973-3270.

On that note my cold medicine is starting to work and I can breathe again so I will head back to my hotel bed for a couple more hours of rest before the excitement of OnStage. I can't wait to tell you guys all about it. I know you will understand when I cannot talk about the new product releases but I PROMISE you, the wait will be worth it. Or you can join my team and we can talk about it sooner!! :D

Talk later!
